Hello Fernando

Thank you for using Wandora.

We have no serious plans for TMQL support at the moment. I did look at it some time ago but decided to postpone implementation as I had no time for it. Must admit full TMQL implementation is a very big job. However, implementing a subset of TMQL might be more reasonable target. I have to think it over. I am not promising anything yet.

By the way, did you know that Wandora has a minimal and non-standard query language supporting simple topic queries. Language is described here:

http://www.wandora.org/wandora/wiki/index.php?title=Query_language

Unfortunately you can use Query Language scripts in Query Topic Maps and Query Topic Panel only at the moment.

Kind Regards,
Aki

Hi Aki,

Thanks for your fast reply... It would be great if you develope a partial implementation of TMQL, ... I know it is a big project... but it can be the next point to make wandora the most valuable software for TMs.

And thanks for point me to Wandora's query script language... I will take a look to it as soon as possible... The problem is that I am not a Java programmer (I am from functional and logical languages) but I will do my best with it...

Congratulations for wandora!

Hello Fernando

Well, if you are familiar with LISP I would dare to say you'll learn the Wandora Query Language easily. Java syntax is just a wrapper to make scripts executable, otherwise the Query Language resembles functional languages.

Cheers,
Aki

Hello Fernando

I am happy to announce that new Wandora release (2009-08-26) contains enhanced topic query language and interface to make queries. Now you can execute topic queries in Find dialog opened with Edit > Find... or just CTRL+F. Unfortunately supported query language is not TMQL but Wandora specific implementation. Anyhow, I hope you find the query language and query interface useful.

Once again, I am delighted to hear feedback.

Kind Regards,
Aki

Hi Aki,

Right now I was taking a look into the new features... Thanks a lot for your message. As soon as I have some time I will try to use it and send you some feedback about that.

And, of course, congratulations for the great software you are developing...

All the best,
Fernando
