Layers are topic maps and layer merge simply copies all topics and associations from source layer to target layer and removes source layer, after successful copy of cource. Merging layers does not change topic merge rules. If two topics have genuine identifiers they stay separate over the merge. When layer topics share identifier they collapse into a single topic during the merge.
Two layers are merged in Wandora with
- Layers > Merge layers > Merge up...
- Layers > Merge layers > Merge down...
- Layers > Merge layers > Merge all...
- Layers > Merge layers > Merge visible...
You may find same tools in context menu of layers.
