SKOS RDF Extractor - howto ?

Hi,
I would like to use Wandora to import a Skos Thesaurus and convert it into topicmap to edit it in Wandora.

I used File->Extract->Simple RDF formats -> SKOS RDF Extractor ..

in a new project from a fresh Wandora installation.

I obtain

which seems to be a successful import but nothing appens on the Topics view nor I can see anything related to my skos sample in Wandora.

Could you help me in using the extractor or provide a working sample skos file on which the import works to compare with mine ?

Hello Tommaso

Thank you for using Wandora. I suppose the extraction finishes successfully. However, Wandora doesn't connect extracted topics to the topic tree (left column of the Wandora application window). To locate extracted topics you need to search for them. Select Finder tab and search for 'concept'. Results should include several topics. Double click topic 'skos:Concept'. The topic is opened to the right column. Now you should see a list of associations of type 'rdf:type'. This list contains all concepts in your SKOS file. To open any of the SKOS concepts, just double click a cell in the association table.

Notice, as SKOS is essentially RDF, topics created during extraction have no base name. Wandora has several features to refine the extracted topic map. For example, to create base names for SKOS topics using occurrence 'skos:prefLabel', use context menu option 'Topics > Base names > Make base name with occurrence...'.

If you don't manage to locate your SKOS topics or need further information, please do drop a line and we'll look at your problem more detailed.
