Merging layers

Layers are topic maps and layer merge simply copies all topics and associations in both layers to another and removes the another, after successful copy of cource. Merging layers does not change topic merge rules. If two topics have genuine identifiers they stay separate over the merge. If topics share identifier they may be separate if they locate separate layer (as they are just virtually merged) but undeniably collapse into a single topic during layer marge.

Two layers are merged in Wandora with

• Layers > Merge layers > Merge up...
• Layers > Merge layers > Merge down...
• Layers > Merge layers > Merge all...
• Layers > Merge layers > Merge visible...
