Tree panel is basically a topic tree in the topic panel area of the Wandora application. A tree panel contains a topic tree structure. The tree panel can be seen as an index of topics. The user can open any topic in the index rapidly in some other topic panel for detailed inspection. The use can add the tree panel by selecting menu option View > New > Tree. Wandora can hold unlimited number of tree panels simultaneusly. The user can set the root topic of a tree panel by selecting menu option View > Tree > Set root topic. Also, the user can set the tree relations by selecting menu option View > Tree > Configure. These two menu option appear only if there is a tree panel open. Each tree panel can have different root topic and tree relations.

Exceptionally the tree panel doesn't know how to open a topic into itself. This means that double clicking a topic in the tree opens the topic not in the tree but in any other topic panel that supports the feature of opening a topic. If Wandora contains several topic panels that support the feature of opening a topic, Wandora asks where the topic should be opened. If there is no topic panels at all that support the feature of opening a topic, Wandora creates a Traditional topic panel for the opened topic.
