What is Wandora?
Wandora is a software application used to build, edit and publish Topic Maps. The application has two software components:
- Wandora is a desktop application used to build and edit topic maps.
- Wandora-Piccolo is a server application used to publish topic maps.
What can I do with the Wandora
With Wandora you can
- Create and edit topic maps
- Make file transformation: XML (with XSL), XTM, LTM, N3 and RDF(S).
- Extract data from various file formats and data repositories.
- Publish topic map as static or dynamic WWW site
More generally Wandora suits well for
- mining metadata from documents
- storing data and knowledge
- content and document management
- knowledge aggregating and publishing
- ontology creation and management

What do I need to use Wandora?
You need a computer suitable for Wandora, Java Run Time Environment (JRE) 6.0, the Wandora application, and some third party libraries. See system requirements to decide whether you have a suitable computer. See download section to download Wandora application and to ensure you have all the required JAR libraries.
Can I get the source code of Wandora?
Source code of Wandora is not public at the moment. However, Javadocs of the Wandora are available at [1]

Wandora is an ongoing project and definetely has bugs and some features are unfinished.

People behind the Wandora are Aki Kivelä and Olli Lyytinen. Wandora's history dates back to 2000 and current version of Wandora owes a great deal to Pasi Hytönen and Marko Wallgren. Pasi Hytönen was part of second generation Wandora team. Marko Wallgren participated the initial Wandora team and was the man behind Kiasmart, the first application of long line of Wandora products.
