Wandora

Wandora is a general purpose knowledge extraction, management and publishing environment based on Topic Maps. More precisely Wandora is a Java application used to build and manage topic maps. Wandora has graphical user interface, layered presentation of knowledge, several data storage options, rich data extraction, import and export capabilities, and open plugin architecture. Wandora is owned and copyrighted by Grip Studios Interactive Oy. Grip Studios Interactive Oy grants you a personal and non-commercial license to use Wandora.

This site, WandoraWiki, is a home of Wandora software application and an ongoing project. Feel free to contribute your knowledge and experiences about the Wandora using wiki's discussion pages and forum.

News

Finnish National Gallery's Collections were today (May 24th 2007) released in Internet. This extensive information repository of Finnish and international artworks and artists was implemented with Wandora. The site introduces over 33000 artworks, 6000 artists, and 14000 digital images of artworks. Wandora software was updated May 23rd 2007. New version has a SOAP api integrated. With the api it is possible to request topics and association via WSDL calls. New package has also an example application created with Flash and Actionscript. The sample implements a simple topic map browser.
