Guardian open platform extractor

Wandora's Guardian API extractor makes an request to the Guardian Content API and converts the response to topics and associations. As with all other data in Wandora the extracted topics and associations may be modified, merged and visualized with the tools provided in Wandora.

The main extractor is located in the Content search tab of the dialog found in File > Extract > News > Guardian API extractor

The extractor utilizes the API's filtering parameters as well as the option to specify additional properties to return with the result. The results can be filtered by tags and sections and the fields and tags returned alongside the result can be specified as well.

The user has to sign up for a personal API key in order to use the API. Wandora doesn't store your api-key between use sessions. Use of the extracted information is subject to the API Terms of Use.

Example

Below the user searches for content with a text query "swimming" where the content has the tag "sport/olympics-2012". The results are first shown in Wandora and then in the browser using the Timeline service module
